Crystalline Thunderegg from Gehlberg, Thuringia

This is a very fine crystalline specimen, filled with very pale amethystine quartz crystal. The flawless shape is spectacularly disrupted by the broken and mixed part at the bottom - one of the most striking aspects of this egg. In appearance, it is so similar to some of the Felsenschlag specimens that I am a little dubious about its classification.

Unusually for thundereggs in general, this specimen fluoresces a dark blue-purple. I managed to capture an image of this and present it below.
